Android "Cupcake" (version 1.5) is the third version of Android developed by Google, a major platform release deploy able to Android-powered handsets starting in May 2009, that is no longer supported.
Whereas, Android "Oreo" (codenamed Android O during development) is the eighth major update and the 15th version of the Android operating system. It was first released as an alpha quality developer preview in March 2017 and released to the public on August 21, 2017.

As well as Android CupCake went from Unsupported Security Patches to Supported Security Patches in Android Oreo.
